קרר II

קָרַרII (cmp. קרש) (to contract, to be cold. Hif. הֵקֵר same. Cant. R. to IV, 5 there were two families אחת מֵיקֶרֶתוכ׳ (not מקרית) one was cold-blooded , v. רָתַח. Hof. הוּקַר to be chilled, feel cold. Num. R. s. 23 כאן הוּקַרְנוּ … here we slept, here we felt cold. Nithpa. נִתְקָרֵר to be cooled off; (with דעת) to be pacified, feel satisfied. Ib. s. 2 נ׳ בצילו he cooled himself in its shade.Yeb.63a ולא נִתְקָרְרָה דעתו עדוכ׳ and he found no satisfaction until Num. R. s. 14, beg. ולא נתקררה דעתו and he (the Lord) was not pacified. Tanḥ.
